Fishing Venice and Sarasota Bays offers many species of fish. The area grass flats and oyster bars  will host Trout and Redfish. While mangrove spoils will shelter Snook and Redfish. Rock areas, pilings and local bridges also hold many fish including Sheephead Snook, Snapper, Black Drum and others.

Big Pass, Venice Inlet and New Pass are the main highways for fish to  travel to and from the Gulf and offers Pompano, Whiting, Mackerel along with a plethora of other fish.
